ADA token
Mint a Cardano native token. Cardano needs no token contract: minting rules live in a native script (the policy), its hash is the policy id, and the asset unit is policy id + name.
How to use
- Enter the paying address and its key (keep ~2 ADA there)
- Set name and supply, then pick a policy: time-locked (supply fixed when it expires) or signature (mint any time)
- Mint and submit; the tokens land in that address
FAQ
- Which policy?
- Time-locked: after the given slot nobody can ever mint again, so the supply is provably fixed — best for holders. Signature: whoever holds the key can mint more at will. The choice cannot be changed later.
- Why keep 2 ADA?
- Cardano requires every UTXO carrying tokens to hold a minimum amount of ADA (sized by bytes), plus about 0.18 ADA of fee. That ADA stays yours.
- What do decimals mean?
- The ledger counts whole units; decimals are a wallet display convention registered through CIP-26 metadata. The value here scales your supply by 10^n.
